Alexander H. Leavy

Alexander Leavy first joined Montgomery | Amatuzio in 2025 through the Firm’s Summer Associate Program while attending the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. During that summer, he gained experience in civil litigation by assisting with personal injury matters, construction defect claims, and wrongful death suits. His work included drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery, conducting legal research for briefs and memoranda, and participating in mediations. After completing his final year of law school and earning his Juris Doctor, Alexander returned to the Firm in 2026.

Alexander focuses his practice on civil litigation and insurance defense, representing businesses, insurers, and individuals in a broad range of disputes. He prioritizes clear communication and meticulous preparation, helping clients feel informed and supported throughout the litigation process while pursuing results aligned with their goals.

During law school, Alexander served as vice president of LSU Law’s Hispanic Law Student Association and was a member of its Board of Advocates. He competed in mock trial, moot court, and negotiation competitions and studied comparative legal systems at the Université de Lyon in France.

Outside the office, Alexander enjoys film, history, EDM concerts, cheering on the LSU Tigers, and exploring Denver with friends. He recently logged his 1,000th film on Letterboxd, much to the concern of his loved ones. An avid traveler who has lived in four cities across the United States and Mexico since graduating from high school, Alexander welcomes every opportunity to explore a new city, country, or continent.
