Construction

Our firm represents contractors, subcontractors, construction professionals, business owners, architects and engineers in a wide range of construction-related matters throughout Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region.

Construction law touches every stage of a project, from contract negotiation and project financing to disputes over delays, defects, and payment. It also involves navigating compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including building codes and safety standards. Our attorneys have extensive experience handling both transactional and litigation matters in the construction industry and work to minimize risk while protecting our clients’ business interests.

Our litigation experience includes defending clients in construction defect claims governed by the Colorado Construction Defect Action Reform Act (CDARA), C.R.S. §§ 13-20-801 to 13-20-807, as well as handling delay and disruption disputes, payment and lien enforcement actions, warranty issues, and professional negligence claims. We work closely with clients to assess claims early, develop cost-effective strategies, and pursue resolution through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or trial when necessary.

In addition to litigation, we assist clients with contract drafting and review, risk management strategies, insurance coverage, and compliance with construction-related regulations to help prevent disputes before they arise. We are equipped to advise clients on best practices aimed at protecting projects, businesses, and long-term relationships in a complex and highly regulated industry.

Our goal is to provide practical, strategic guidance at every stage of a construction project. Whether helping clients secure strong contract terms at the outset or defending their interests when disputes arise, we are committed to protecting our clients' investments and long-term success.
