Patrick D. Hale

Patrick Hale joined Montgomery | Amatuzio as an attorney in 2025. His practice focuses on insurance coverage and insurance defense, advising and defending insurers and their insureds in a wide range of first-party and third-party matters, including bad faith litigation.

Patrick adeptly handles complex coverage disputes across multiple jurisdictions and has successfully pursued declaratory judgment actions on behalf of insurers. He also has extensive experience representing businesses and individuals in matters involving construction defects, premises liability, trucking and automobile accidents, personal injuries, wrongful death, and other related claims. In addition, Patrick has handled cases involving natural disasters and storm damage, water contamination disputes, and whistleblower protection. He has achieved favorable results for clients in complex, high-exposure, multi-party construction defect cases. Patrick works in a focused and diligent manner, maintaining strong communication with clients to help them achieve their desired outcomes.

From pre-litigation strategy through trial and appeal, Patrick is known for taking a detailed, fact-driven approach to each case, recognizing how specific facts can drive the outcome. He partners closely with clients throughout the legal process to ensure their goals are prioritized and pursued effectively.

Patrick’s pro bono experience includes successfully representing a plaintiff in a non-payment of wages claim, securing nearly a full year’s worth of back pay and statutory penalties at trial. He is also a member of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association.

Outside of work, Patrick is an avid sports fan, particularly of the NBA’s Denver Nuggets and the NFL’s Denver Broncos. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, engaging in outdoor activities, and cooking and grilling on sunny Colorado days.
